VIDEO EDITING
Digital Video Editing

What is it?

Digital video editing or non-linear is the way video programmes are edited today. This software technology has impacted in much the same way that Desktop Publishing replaced manual cut and paste in Print & Design studios.

Advanced digital editing and compositing

Advanced digital editing and compositing is also available, offering sophisticated features that raise corporate video production to the level of television commercials and even film if a HD camera is used.

How It Works

Raw video footage, the rushes, are digitally transferred to a high speed AV hard disk, at broadcast quality. The digital video footage is now ready to edit on a twin processor PC specifically dedicated to this process

Once the footage is on disk, non-linear video editing software permits greater flexibility and cost-effectiveness compared with traditional reel-to-reel. Editing time is significantly reduced.

It works in a similar way to word processing text. For example, a clip of images can be cut and pasted, cut again if required, and re-pasted anywhere within the programme. All this is done without any compromise in picture quality. In addition it allows numerous attractive editing effects, great audio, and it's relatively easy to learn. These days there is even free public domain software so a novice could learn the basics without a cost penalty.

Complete Support Services

You may need to add a still picture or slide to your video, such as a logo. Not a problem. Need quality low-priced dupes of your master? You'll have a hard time beating the Tes Design's service or price. Need a camera, light, or microphones? We rent them.

The main support service is our staff. You may be at a loss what all the technical descriptions above mean but you know the story you want to tell. This is exactly where most of our customers are when they contact us. Your editor's job is to listen to your vision, review your materials and drive the equipment to make it all happen for you. Don't worry if you never quite understand all the technology involved -- you'll have no trouble evaluating the product as it goes together.
